LAM WAH CHUEN
A Hong Kong Film Cultural Centre graduate, Lam began his career with Shaw Brothers Studio cinematography unit. He continued to gain experience as assistant director, visual effects specialist and has directed numerous music videos. In 1996, he teamed up with fellow Film Cultural Center, Fruit Chan and began his career as cinematographer and music composer, beginning with Fruit Chan's MADE IN HONG KONG (1997), THE LONGEST SUMMER (1998), LITTLE CHEUNG (1999), DURIAN DURIAN (2000), HOLLYWOOD HONG KONG (2001), and as cinematographer for BULLETS OVER SUMMER (1998), JULIET IN LOVE (1999), I DO (2000), and also as editor for WOMEN'S PRIVATE PARTS (2001). THE RUNAWAY PISTOL marks Lam's directorial debut. Multi-talented, he also served as writer, cinematographer, editor and music composer.
