LESLIE CHEUNG TRIBUTE SCREENINGS

To celebrate the life and work of Leslie Cheung, we'll be programming two of his best films on Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. If you're only familiar with his work in FAREWELL MY CONCUBINE, do yourself a favor and come see Leslie in the movies that made him famous.

At 8:30PM we'll be showing the Hong Kong classic, THE BRIDE WITH WHITE HAIR (1993). Considered the ultimate romantic swordplay film, this movie stars Leslie Cheung and Brigitte Lin, and is filmed by Peter Pau, the
cinematographer from CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON. One of Hong Kong's best-loved movies, this is a must-see for anyone who's ever wanted to check out what pitch perfect pop cinema can be.

Following THE BRIDE WITH WHITE HAIR, a 2nd Leslie Cheung feature will be screened to close out the festival. Though we do not yet have a definite title confirmed, several of his most beloved classics are currently being considered.
